Raising awareness and providing support for PNH patients across Scotland
Raising awareness and providing support for PNH patients across Scotland
PNH is a very rare bone marrow disorder. When PNH Scotland launched in 2011 there were only 20 diagnosed patients in Scotland.
PNH Scotland's main aim is to raise awareness of PNH and advance the education of patients, their families and interested health professionals. In particular, we aim to provide up to date information and a point of contact and support for newly diagnosed patients.
Patient Support
Many patients with PNH have never met someone else with the condition. The PNH Scotland patient group allows patients the opportunity to meet up and share their experiences.
PNH Treatment
There are a number of different treatments that patients with PNH may require. Some people, especially those with a lower proportion of PNH cells may require little or no treatment.
